Ferries
Ferries come in all shapes and sizes and over the years there are few varieties of these with which Robert Allan Ltd has not been involved. These include ferries for the many services, including:
- Passengers only
- Automobile/Passengers
- Trucks and Trailers
- Rail cars
- Ro-Ro
- Short Sea shipping services (drop trailers or Ro-Ro)
The mode of propulsion of these ferries is also diverse, and ranges from the simplest of cable or reaction ferries to high-speed multi-hulls with waterjet propulsion. We have designed ferries for numerous remote inland and coastal regions of Canada, for ports in SE Asia, and for open ocean service.
